Serial number 7969 indicates manufacture by the Inland Division of General Motors between May 1942 and December 1943. Standard military finish 18" military barrel stamped with "Inland MFG DIV/General Motors" and dated "8-42" with correct unmarked barrel band with front swivel. Standard early style flip rear sight with "N" marked milled front sight. "Inland" marked trigger group with serrated magazine release and serrated push-button safety. Visibly unmarked recoil shield. Blued flat bolt marked "A.I.Co" with "PI" marked slide. 1-piece slide spring. High wood hardwood stock with "IO/Flaming Bomb" in sling well, no cut for M-2 switch, "I" cut oil slot, and ordnance wheel inspector marking on the right side. Unmarked 2-rivet top wood. Complete with a NOS wrapped 15-round magazine, "IS" marked oiler, and web sling. CONDITION: Overall 95% remaining arsenal finish; stock has visible markings but is lightly cleaned. Good bore with ME of 2+ and crisp mechanics. There are no visible import marks.
