Built by Winchester Repeating Arms between December 1943 and November 1944. "AW" marked receiver, indicating original manufacture by Underwood and finished by Winchester; this one is marked with "WINCHESTER" instead of a lined-out Underwood marking. Standard military finish 18" barrel stamped with Winchester proof mark and correct unmarked barrel band with front swivel. Standard late-style rear adjustable sight with unmarked milled front sight. "W" marked trigger group with "M" marked magazine release and flip safety. "W" marked recoil shield. Round blued bolt and the slide are both marked "W". 1-piece slide spring. Low wood hardwood stock with "W" in slingwell, no cut for M-2 switch, oval cut oil slot, and crossed cannons ordnance wheel marking on right side. "W" marked 4-rivet top wood. Complete with a NOS wrapped 15-round magazine, "IW" marked oiler, and web sling. CONDITION: Overall, 95% remaining arsenal finish; stock has visible markings but is lightly cleaned. Good bore with ME of 2 and crisp mechanics. There are no visible import marks.
