Built by Inland Division of General Motors circa 1945 with approximately 100 manufactured. These guns were made as gifts for senior military members and executives at General Motors. This rifle comes with factory images, staff photos, and a notarized letter from 1960 stating this rifle was presented to Carl Nellis, who was factory manager, with an affidavit signed by Nellis's son. Standard military finish 18" barrel stamped with "Inland MFG DIV / General Motors" and undated with "KI" marked barrel band with front swivel. Standard late style rear sight with unmarked milled front sight. "Inland" marked trigger group with "M" marked magazine release and unmarked push-button safety. Visibly unmarked recoil shield. Blued round bolt marked "IO" and "PI" marked slide. 1-piece slide spring. Hand rubbed finished low wood M-2 style "pot belly" hardwood stock with cut for M-2 switch and no oil bottle slot. "IO" marked 2-rivet top wood. Complete with a wrapped NOS 15-round magazine. CONDITION: Overall 95% remaining arsenal finish, stock has 90% of original finish with small handling marks. Good bore with ME of 1 and crisp mechanics. No visible import marks.
