Built by Inland Division of General Motors between July 1943 and December 1944. This gun is marked with an "X" on bevel, indicating it is a duplicate serial number in the Winchester 5 million serial number block. Standard military finished 18" barrel stamped with "Inland MFG DIV/General Motors", dated "10-44", and with correct unmarked barrel band with front swivel. Standard late style rear sight with "N" marked milled front sight. "Inland" marked trigger group with "M" marked magazine release and smooth push-button safety. Visibly unmarked recoil shield. Blued round bolt marked "A.I." with "PI" marked slide. 1-piece slide spring. High wood hardwood stock with "IO" marked sling well, no cut for M-2 switch, oval cut oil slot, and ordnance wheel inspector marking on right side. "IO" marked 2-rivet top wood. Complete with a NOS wrapped 15-round magazine, "IS" marked oiler, and web sling. CONDITION: Overall 95% remaining Arsenal finish. Stock has visible markings with traces of original finish. Good bore with ME of 1 and crisp mechanics. No visible import marks.
