Built by the Saginaw Division of General Motors in Grand Rapids, Michigan, between July 1943 and September 1943. Originally contracted by Irwin Pedersen and taken over by General Motors to use up Pedersen parts. This particular gun has no visible Pedersen parts, making it a late example. Standard military finished 18" barrel stamped with "Buffalo Arms", dated "8-1943", and with correct unmarked barrel band with front swivel. Standard early style flip rear sight with unmarked milled front sight. "S'G'" marked trigger group with unmarked magazine release and push button safety. Visibly unmarked recoil shield. Blued flat bolt and the slide are marked "S'G'". 1-piece slide spring. High wood hardwood stock with unmarked slingwell, no cut for M-2 switch, oval cut oil slot, and "S'G' / (Ordnance Wheel)" inspector marking on the right side. "R.S.G." marked 2-rivet top wood. Complete with a NOS wrapped 15-round magazine, oiler, and web sling. CONDITION: Overall 95% remaining arsenal finish; stock has visible markings but is lightly cleaned. Good bore with ME of 2+ and crisp mechanics. No visible import marks.
