Built by Rock-Ola Music Company between December 1942 and November 1943. Originally, this receiver was made by Inland but, according to government specifications, the original maker was lined-out and "Rock-Ola" was stamped below serial number to indicate where the receiver was used. These lined-out receivers were obtained when companies ran short on parts or were having production issues. Standard military finished 18" barrel stamped with "Rock-Ola", dated "4-43", and with correct unmarked barrel band with front swivel. Standard early style flip rear sight with "N" marked milled front sight. "Rock-Ola" marked trigger group with unmarked magazine release and unmarked push button safety. "Rock-Ola" marked recoil shield. Blued flat bolt and the slide are marked "Rock-Ola". 1-piece slide spring. High wood hardwood stock with "RMC" marked sling well with no cut for M-2 switch, "I" cut oil slot, and "RMC / (Ordnance Wheel)" inspector marking on right side. "RMC" marked 2-rivet top wood. Complete with a NOS wrapped 15-round magazine, oiler, and modern web sling. CONDITION: Overall 95% remaining arsenal finish. Stock has visible markings but is lightly cleaned. Good bore with ME of 2+ and crisp mechanics. No visible import marks.
