Lustrous blue finish Harrington and Richardson Reising Model 50 machine gun with 14 fin barrel and compensator. 2 original 20-round magazines are included with this lot. The Reising Model 50 has served both military and police alike; this particular gun was in the possession of the Palm Springs Police Department. It fires from a closed bolt allowing for better accuracy than that of an open bolt firing machine gun. It was fielded in limited number to the Marine Corps during WWII. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent lustrous blue refinish on gun with lustrous blue finish on the 20-round magazines. Wood has been very lightly sanded with some light handling marks. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face also extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. Yet another Reising from the estate of a very advanced and discerning collector. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER.
