Standard military configuration with intact Chrysanthemum and dust cover. Rifle is also complete with muzzle cover, kanji marked rubberized canvas sling, and hooked quillion bayonet with scabbard and rubberized canvas frog. 2 included copies of October 1945 dated capture papers list this rifle by serial number as well as the bayonet as the war prizes of Paul L. Guertze of the 48th Naval Construction Battalion. Guertze enlisted November 19, 1942, and was released from service December 22, 1945. His dog tag and a period photograph accompany this lot. CONDITION: NRA Fair. Poor bore.
