Probably a parlor gun. Rifled octagon barrel with hooded front sight and rear notched sight integral with top of action. Percussion internal action integrated into a black-painted skeleton buttstock. Target trigger guard. CONDITION: Barrel and action retain a brown patina, front sight absent. Retains about 60 percent of period black paint. Action functions, no half-cock. An interesting rifle.
