An interesting blade, that appears to have been crafted from a cut down loin head sword. The edged weapon appears to be German or Bavarian with "10" on spine (probably the date) and a crest proof mark. The blade is otherwise unmarked. Guard is marked "S.P.L.1" and exhibits evidence of filing suggesting that a knucklebow was eliminated. Shagreen grip wrapped with twisted wire. Housed in a black leather scabbard with upper mount accommodating a leather frog via an acorn shaped stud. Light patina throughout with areas of moderate wear. CONDITION: NRA Good.
