Receiver manufactured by the Inland division of General Motors between May 1942 and September 1943. Inland barrel dated "5-43" with "N" marked machined front sight and later style IR Co. adjustable aperture rear. Round bolt. Inland trigger group with "EPB" pushbutton safety and unmarked magazine catch. "SA" marked Springfield low wood replacement stock with M2 cut. "JI" bayonet lug barrel band and checkered steel butt plate. Accompanied by a green woven sling, oiler, 2 flat bottom 15-round magazines, 6 "SEY" or "M2" marked 30-round magazines, stock magazine pouch, 5 cell Thompson magazine pouch, web belt with shoulder straps, WWII canteen with cover, and Imperial M4 bayonet with poorly fitting USN MK 1 scabbard. CONDITION: Good. Metal finishes have drifted to a worn gray patina. Wood has scattered marks and impressions but no sign of major distress. Strong bore. ME less than 1. Fine mechanics. Accessories rate fair to good.
