This lot is of Frederick Remington's Bronco Buster bronze. Depicted in this bronze is a horse and Native American rider trying to jump over a buffalo. Instead, the horse ends up on top of the buffalo, and the rider is flying off the back of the horse. In response, the buffalo attempts to get the horse off its back; his front two legs are in the air. This bronze cast is detailed down to see the pupils of the buffalo. The bronze is on top of an oval piece of marble with a gold-colored plaque. On the base of the bronze, it is signed F. Remington. This piece is also known as "The Buffalo Horse". Measure approximately 25" tall, 18" wide, and 10" deep. CONDITION: Very good to excellent.
