Between March 1941 and June 1942, 38,001 M1 Garand rifles were supplied to Great Britain through the Lend-Lease Program, largely falling in the 300,000 to 600,000 serial range. This example, number 523063, was manufactured circa March 1942. Correct "-12SA" bolt, post war cut Springfield op rod, post war Springfield housing, milled trigger guard, early "-1SA" hammer, and "HRA" safety. Standard walnut stock. No visible inspector marks. Complete with a 1945 dated green woven sling. CONDITION: Very good overall. The vast majority of arsenal finishes are maintained with only moderate wear. Stocks have only light impressions throughout. Strong, bright bore. ME less than 2. TE of 1+. Fine mechanics.
