Lot consists of: (A) Circa 1860s unmarked bowie knife with a wide 11 - 1/2" spearpoint blade and thick iron guard. Blade and guard exhibit a matching heavy gray patina. Full tang with wood grip scales that are held in place by 4 pins on each side. Both scales exhibit loss around their left edges with handling wear and nice age toning. 16" overall. CONDITION: Fair. (B) Circa 1860s unmarked bowie knife with a 9" clip point blade and iron S-shaped guard. Blade and guard exhibit a heavy gray patina with edge wear to the blade. Wood femur shaped grip scales that are secured with 5 brass pins on each side. Grip scales exhibit scattered cracks and handling wear with nice age toning. 14 - 1/2" overall. CONDITION: Fair.
