Manufactured in 1940 in rare .22 Hornet chambering. Rule lists only 1,023 shipped in the period 1940 to 1942. Classic tapered blue barrel with standard markings and ramped front sight base filled in with a blank. Rifle currently sports a Weaver 440 scope on Stith mounts. Matte clover tang receiver, also drilled and tapped for a side mount scope. Tilden safety. Bolt marked on the underside with the full serial number. Standard grade checkered walnut pistol grip stock with blued bottom metal and checkered widows peak butt plate. Complete with leather sling. CONDITION: Very good overall. Rifle retains the vast majority of its factory finishes with some wear at the muzzle and other working surfaces. Stock has field impressions. Fine, bright bore with sharp rifling. Fine mechanics. Optics are clouded.
