Manufactured between January and August of 1945. Inland barrel dated "2-45" with milled "R" marked front sight and "I.R. CO." adjustable rear sight. Late "CAL. 30 M" marked receiver as was left open until it was determined if this rifle would be an M1 or M2 carbine, and then later stamped with a "1". Round bolt. Inland trigger group with push button safety and "M" marked magazine catch. Low wood stock without M2 cut, marked "HI" in the sling well and with a large double struck ordnance wheel on the right side. 4 rivet "HI" top wood retained by a "SI" marked bayonet lug band. No magazine present. CONDITION: Very good. The majority of the fading arsenal finished is retained with some high edge silvering. Stock has some expected wear and impressions. Fine, bright bore. ME reads over 2. Fine mechanics. A nice, correct, late-war carbine.
