CATCO Registered receiver tube assembled on British Mk II Sten parts. Top of magazine housing retains legible “E & Co” with the underside of housing having “STEN MK II”. Left side of receiver tube has “CATCO, NAPA, CA” manufacturer’s markings. Seven 32 round magazines with one original “AUSTEN” loading tool, and one contemporary loading tool are included with this lot. One of the most numerously produced machine guns of World War II, the Sten is a very simple and straightforward machine gun made mostly of metal stampings. It was far less costly and quicker to produce than the previous models such as the Lanchester. The is a reliable and compact machine gun that takes commonly available ammunition. Electronic NFA registry indicates “CALIFORNIA ARMS TECHNOLGY CO DBA CATCO” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine black enamel paint finish with some areas of bare metal showing where the finish has worn off. Bore is very good, shiny and bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. Just a great entry level machine gun to take to the range. Simple, reliable fun.
