Manufactured circa 1957 as a Type I National Match rifle, as marked "NM" on the left side of the barrel between the gas tube bands. Springfield barrel dated "12 56". Correctly unmarked standard post war sights. Matte gray parkerized finish throughout. Correct Springfield trigger assembly with stamped guard. Gloss finished walnut stocks with faint circle "P" at wrist and DOD stamp on the left. Complete with green woven sling. CONDITION: Very good overall. Rifle retains nearly all of its arsenal parkerized finish with only light marks and silvering around the muzzle. Stocks have been lightly sanded with an added coat of finish with a few impressions. Very fine, bright and shiny bore. ME of 1. TE less than 1.
