Very nice smooth light gray finished Harrington and Richardson Reising Model 50 machine gun with 14 fin barrel and compensator. One original 20-round magazine is included with this lot. Tiny importer's marks to the point of being illegible present on left side of the receiver. The Reising Model 50 is a high-quality machine gun that was fielded in limited numbers to the Marine Corps during WWII. Firing from a closed bolt gave an advantage to the firer over the Thompson, which fires from an open bolt. Police departments took to the Reising, and a semi-automatic model was also produced in response to civilian private factory security needs. Electronic NFA registry indicates, “IMPORTED NFA FIREARM”. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine to excellent smooth light gray matte refinish on gun with lustrous blue original finish on the 20 round magazine. Wood is near excellent as sanded and refinished to have a very blonde color with side mounted sling swivels. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. Just exactly the kind of machine gun to take to the range, and an attractive opportunity for someone as an entry level machine gun.
