Circa 2001. A nicely made rimless Scottish boxlock dangerous game rifle with 24 – 1/2” blued steel chopper lump barrels. Barrels are fit with ejectors, spearpoint top rib, and raised bladed front sight. Spearpoint rib with 1 standing and 2 folding rear sights. Rib fit with swing mount scope system. Right barrel reads “DAN’L FRASER 21 FREDERICK STREET EDINBURGH”. Barrel flats with ".375 MAG", "NP", "LP99", and "4810BAR". Case hardened scalloped boxlock action is built with third fastener, disk set strikers, and double triggers, first trigger hinged. Top lever is also case hardened, engraved, and checkered. Safe slide is checkered and engraved, “SAFE” is in gold. Rifle is built with auto-safe. Action is engraved with scrolls, bottom of action reads “DAN’L FRASER”. Case colored trigger guard is engraved with floral scroll and extends down through a full length bottom tang and engraved with serial number. Smoky walnut stock is furnished with drop points, checkered pistol grip, case color hardened grip cap with door, cheekpiece, gold oval, and finished by an orange rubber butt pad. Splinter forend with matched checkering, Anson style release and interior metal is case hardened. Accompanied by correct engraved scope rings. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain mostly all of their original blue. Rifling is sharp. Action is sound. Triggers and ejectors work well with snap caps. Stock and forend both excellent with light handling marks.
