SST. Maker marked "Charles E. Hires Co." A c. 1920s "Drink Hires It Hits the Spot" embossed tin sign. CONDITION: The sign has fair color with significant surface staining and areas of paint loss throughout both the inner and outer fields. The sign has significant areas of paint flake, most notably in the Josh Slinger character's face. The outer edges of the piece also show very minor surface staining and minor paint loss at the hanging hole.
