DST. Maker marked "Permanent Sign & Display, Reading, PA." A c. 1940s Spiffy "A Swell Cola Drink" painted metal flange sign. CONDITION: Side one has fair color throughout with significant ares of surface staining and fade. There are very minor areas of surface scratching, as well as more significant scratches with paint loss. The outer edge of the sign also shows minor rust staining, as well as rust staining at the top and the bottom of the piece, as well as on the outside of the flange. (7.25). Side two has good color and gloss with slightly more vivid colors than the previous side. The sign has very minor areas of staining, as well as crazing and paint loss around the outer edges of the piece. The sign also has minor paint loss on the inside of the flange. (7.5).
