High condition and desirable Colt AR-15 SP-1 converted to a machine gun and professionally engraved “KESTREL INT’L CORP. / MESQUITE, TEXAS“. This is a registered receiver machine gun. Triangular handguards, no bolt forward assist, birdcage flash hider. Barrel is marked “C MP CHROME BORE”. Typical Colt markings with “AR-15” on magazine well with “SP” prefix serial number. Five 30-round, non-Colt black follower and two 20-round Colt magazines are included, as well as an original U.S.G.I. combination wrench and a manual. Selector markings are “Safe”, “Fire”, and the full-auto position has been neatly engraved “AUTO”. Electronic NFA registry indicates “COLT" as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original finish with some slight handling marks overall. Bore is near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face near excellent. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select fire machine gun. An American classic. It is essentially a Colt M16 with added engraving. A very desirable machine gun.
