Maker marked "Permanent Advertising Co." A c. 1920s "Drink Hires" celluloid over cardboard sign with early graphic. CONDITION: The sign has significant browning throughout the background, as well as spotting in the inner and outer fields and along the outer edge. The piece has a significant surface stain in the bottom right-hand corner, as well as other areas of staining in the outer edge. The piece is missing its cardboard backing and the original hanging string is present, but cut in half.
