Maker marked "Gast NY & St. L. Copyright 1898." A c. 1900s Hires' Improved Root Beer cardstock easel back with early outstanding graphics. CONDITION: The sign has very slight fade throughout, as well as very slight surface staining around the outer edges, most notably in the bottom of the white dress of the child. The piece has very minor edgewear, most notably in the bottom left-hand corner, and is missing the original easelback attachment.
