Exceptionally rare Nazi marked fortress conversion French Model 31 Reibel machine gun parts missing a section of receiver, rear buffer, spring, and small parts. Present parts are, cut receiver pieces with an added Nazi proof mark, shoulder brace assembly with Nazi proof, handgrip assembly, barrel, gas cylinder, operating rod, bolt, charging handle, front sight, muzzle attachment, and pan magazine. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is very good to fine combination of original blue and black enamel finish with some loss of finish and patina. Wood of grip is very fine. Bolt is fine with some light pitting and brown patina on the face. Bore is very good, mostly shiny rifling. Cylinder appears serviceable. Some brown patina on muzzle attachment and charging handle but leather cover on handle present albeit slightly torn. The Reibel machine gun was chambered in 7.5 French, and is quite a scarce machine gun in the United States. The pan magazine can only be loaded using a proprietary loading machine. These parts could be made into quite a nice display gun for a French machine gun enthusiast, or paired with an existing gun to make it into an exceptionally rare configuration of this model.
