Lot consists of: (A) Manufactured in 1943 by Springfield and later overhauled at the Marine Corps depot in Barstow, California, as is designated by a "O-65" marked on the receiver behind the rear sight in electro-pencil. Rifle remains sealed with a slit cut in the wrapper allowing the serial number to be read. Packing labels note an overhaul date of "6/66" with matching serial number and a packing date of "4/75". An included 2020 dated CMP certificate with receipt indicate that this "Navy Award Rifle" was awarded to Sandra Uptagrafft. An additional certificate signed by her notes that this rifle, listed by serial number, was given for her Women's 10M Air Pistol Gold Medal at the 2007 USA Shooting National Championship, held at Fort Benning, Georgia in June of 2007. CONDITION: Fine as overhauled, still wrapped. (B) Same as gun (A). Rifle also awarded to Sandra Uptagrafft with similar documentation indicating it was for her Women's 25M Sport Pistol Gold Medal at the 2009 US Shooting Team Tryout held at Fort Benning. CONDITION: Fine as sealed with a slit cut in the packing to read the serial number. Both guns are packed in an original, matching 2 gun shipping box. Box has tape repaired corners and some expected wear but is otherwise very good. A rare opportunity to acquire a pair of desirable, untouched Navy Trophy Rifles as awarded to the same shooter with supporting documentation.
