Gray finish Harrington and Richardson Reising Model 50 machine gun with 14 fin barrel and compensator. One original 20-round lustrous blue and one original 12-round gray finish magazines are included with this lot in a green “US” “1951” marked canvas pouch. The Reising Model 50 is a high-quality machine gun which was fielded in limited numbers to the Marine Corps during WWII. Firing from a closed bolt gave an advantage to the firer over the Thompson, which fires from an open bolt. Police departments took to the Reising, and a semi-automatic model was also produced in response to civilian private factory security demands. Electronic NFA registry indicates, “HARRINGTON AND RICHARDSON” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent smooth gray finish on gun with lustrous blue finish on the 20-round magazine, and fine gray finish on the 12 round magazine. Wood is near mint, unsanded, and very attractive. Bore is extremely fine, shiny and bright. Bolt face also extremely fine. Mechanics are crisp. This is a select-fire machine gun. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4 AS CURIO AND RELIC ELIGIBLE. JWK 2024-09-028.
