Circa 1969/1970 per serial number; silver nitrate test is negative for salt. Classic configuration of the Browning bolt action rifle, with blued barrel with Belgian legends on right side ahead of shank, decorated with two triangles of floral scroll on either side, approximately 2". Classic floral engraving throughout, with supporting animal scenes: left side of fore ring with a moose, signed by Marechal; right with an elk, also signed by Marechal; magazine floorplate with a bear signed by Greco; trigger guard with a mountain lion and signed "LC". Stock with pistol grip of a nicely fiddlebacked walnut with contrasting foreamr and pistol grip cap, with point-and-wave pattern checkering at forearm and about the wrist, with scroll carving about the checkered areas. Monte Carlo cheekpiece, sling studs at forearm and toe line, and Browning branded waffle recoil pad. CONDITION: Barrel with virtually all of the factory bluing, with patina in an approximate 6" long area ahead of the barrel step. Reinforcement bolts with evidence of patina. Gold wash on trigger lifting. Stock with areas of very light handling marks, some lifting of lacquer, and a chiat reinforcing bolt. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with strong rifling.
