Extremely attractive Harrington & Richardson M-14 select-fire machine gun battle rifle remanufactured and registered fully transferable for private ownership by “PHX ARM INC, HOU, TX” on left side of the receiver. The top of the receiver is stamped "U.S. RIFLE/ 7.62 MM M14/ H.&R. ARMS CO" above the serial number. Barrel is unmarked. Attractive brown buttstock also unmarked. "TRW" marked bolt assembly. Four original 20 round magazines, one green web sling , original U.S.G.I marked bipod, and clamp-on flash hider is included with this lot. Handguard is hard plastic composite. Electronic NFA registry indicates “PHOENIX ARMS CO” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is extremely fine original blue finish thinning in places with some remnant of black enamel paint and detectable re-weld of receiver about 2" forward of the bolt hold-open latch. Bipod finish consistent with the rest of this gun. Stock is extremely fine to near excellent with light handling marks. Bore is fabulous, near excellent, shiny and bright. Bolt face is near excellent. This is a select-fire machine gun. Just a great example of the U.S. military rifle designed to be a box magazine version of the M1 Garand, and also able to fulfill the role of the Browning automatic rifle in the late 1950s and into the 1960s. THIS IS A NATIONAL FIREARMS ACT ITEM AND REQUIRES BATF APPROVAL PRIOR TO TRANSFER. THIS ITEM IS FULLY TRANSFERABLE ON AN ATF FORM 3 OR 4. JWK 2024-05-047.
