Manufactured in the second run of Inland M1A1s circa May 1944 and December 1944. Inland barrel dated "9-44" with milled front sight and "I.R. CO." adjustable rear sight. Low-wood stock with "RI / 3" and cross cannon cartouche marked pistol grip. "MR" rebuild stamp. Correct folding wire stock numbered on the inside of the butt plate "B257614 8". 4-rivet hand guard retained by a bayonet lug band. CONDITION: Excellent as corrected by Larry with possibly original finish on nearly all parts. Bolt may have been refinished. Safety, mag catch and bayonet lug are not period correct. Stock and hand guard are fine as lightly cleaned with scattered handling marks and a light impression from contact with the butt plate when folded. Very good, crisp bore. ME less than 1.
