Serial number was applied on March 17, 1944. "W" and Winchester proofed barrel with blade front sight and "I.R. CO." adjustable rear sight. Correct internals. Larry’s notes indicate the bolt was missing when he purchased it, so he added a correct round bolt. Low wood walnut stock marked on the right with correct ordnance wheel and "W.R.A. / G.H.D." stampings. Unmarked 2 rivet hand guard retained by a type 2 band. Complete with khaki sling. CONDITION: Excellent. Nearly all of the factory rich matte finish is retained throughout with only very light wear. Stock and hand guard have scattered light impressions and handling marks. Very fine, crisp bore. ME of 1. Fine mechanics. A nice mid-war correct Winchester carbine. PROVENANCE: Larry Ruth Collection
