Manufactured August 1943. "W" and Winchester Proofed barrel with milled front sight and square "S" marked flip rear. Internals are largely original including a blued flat bolt, pushbutton safety, “W” mag catch. Hammer is a wartime replacement marked "WM". The high-wood stock is marked on the right with the ordnance wheel and "W.R.A. / G.H.D." cartouche. "W" marked 2 rivet bullnose hand-guard retained by a type 1 flat band. CONDITION: Very good. Carbine retains the majority of its original parkerized finish. Front sight has some mild cleaned oxidation spots. Wood very good with scattered, light marks. Very fine, mirror bore. ME reads under 1. Fine mechanics. A nice example. PROVENANCE: Larry Ruth Collection
