Inland presentation carbine in a high gloss blue, with a period EI Paso Weaver Model 330 scope mounted on a matching blued infrared style long scope mount. Inland barrel dated "6-43" and absent of proof marks. Milled front sight marked "R". Mixed early and late internals with a flat bolt, push button safety, and unmarked magazine catch and hammer. Coarsely finished "W" stamped walnut low wood stock with 2 rivet hand-guard retained by a type 1 flat band. Unusual flat cupped butt plate. Complete with a rare ink stamped "S.M.C. / 44" sling over stamped with a red "G-S". This highly unusual presentation carbine is pictured on page 1149 of Larry Ruth's "War Baby III". CONDITION: Excellent as presented. Virtually all of the commercial blue is retained throughout. Stock shows light handling. Excellent bore. ME reads less than 1. Fine mechanics.
