2.500 of these attractively finished Iver Johnson M1 Carbines were sold through the American Heritage Foundation in 1985 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of World War II victory. Finished in high polish blue with 24k gold plated small parts, and "WORLD WAR II COMMEMORATIVE CARBINE" marked slide. The gloss finished stocks are also inset with a commemorative medallion on the right side. Carbine is housed in its matching glass front French fitted hardwood presentation case and shipping box. CONDITION: Excellent. PROVENANCE: The Larry Ruth Collection.
