DSP. A remarkable c. 1950s Meletio's Hot Fish double-sided porcelain die-cut neon sign, with outstanding subject matter and graphic. CONDITION: Side 1; has good color and shine throughout, with significant areas of brown staining on the lettering and the under strike. The sign has other minor areas of surface staining and porcelain loss on the inner and outer fields. The sign shows more significant porcelain loss on the outer edge, most notably at the bottom of the fish's mouth. (7.75). Side 2; has strong color and gloss, with very minor areas of surface staining and brown discoloration to the lettering. The outer edge of the sign shows very minor areas of porcelain loss, similar to that of the previous side. (7.75). The piece is connected to a new can, and has newly added electric. The neon lights green, white and blue.
