Lot consists of: (A) Confederate infantry belt set that consists of bayonet and scabbard, crudely stitched belt with iron roller buckle and cap pouch. Cap pouch is "GAYLORD" marked US example, but appears to have been with belt a long time, and use of captured US equipment by southern forces was common practice. Bayonet scabbard exhibits 1 break. (B) Bayonet and copper riveted frog and scabbard. No "US" markings and some crude filling to metal indicate possible Confederate construction. (C) Musket bayonet, scabbard, and belt frog remnants. No "US" marking. CONDITION: Very good. No active rusting to metal.
