C. 1920, contemporary. This is a very whimsical sign advertising Carter's Liver Pills. The frame is an original frame and back-can from the Sign-O-Graph Company that made light-up signs in and around 1920. The sign is a contemporary replication of an original Carter's Liver Pill sign with very unique image. CONDITION: The original frame shows wear and a partial decal, areas of finish loss and paint to the back-can. The replica sign shows little wear and lights-up well. PROVENANCE: From the lifelong collection of Bill Howard.
