C. 1932. One of the rarest and sought-after pre-war Popeye toys. It comes with the original box. The box has some repair work, but looks almost all original and displays well. The box has graphics of Popeye punching Brutus. The box is marked "No. 256 1932 King Features Syndicate." The toy itself is as clean as you could possibly find, with very little wear and bright litho. There is not even much wear to the knees. It has nice scenes lithographed around the base of the toy. An exceptional example. From the Mark Kuster Collection.
