Pre-Prohibition. Columbia Brewing Co. St. Louis Beer tin lithograph of Lady Liberty. An incredible scene of the gowned woman holding the U.S. flag and shield, surrounded by beer drinking gnomes with the factory in the background. An extremely difficult to find sign. CONDITION: A solid example overall, with bold and bright coloring. Upon close inspection, it shows some spidering in the paint, mostly through the U.S. flag and the bottom left corner. There are several areas of touch up in the lettering through the middle of the "C", the top and bottom of the "O", the bottom area of the "U", the top area of "B" and to the left middle of the "A" in "Columbia." The red in St. Louis Beer shows some fading and possible minor restoration marks to the right side of the lettering. Sign appears to be trimmed when compared to another known example. It is in a modern frame.
