C. 1950s. A very scarce version. Marked "Made in Japan" on the back of Popeye figure. There is no bending top backboard piece, showing Olive Oyl and Wimpy. It has the original net and pipe. Probably made in one of the Scandinavian countries, maybe Sweden, although they did not use the Line Mar mark. Hard pressed to find a better example. From the Mark Kuster Collection.
