Circa 1964, the first full year of production. Full length barrel with early duckbill flash hider, barrel with "VP" and "M" proofs between front sight bosses, triangular handguards, two position sling, and buttstock with "cupped" buttplate and fixed sling stud. Slabside upper without forward assist, with Colt VP proof and boxed "C". Bolt carrier is unmarked. Adjustable rear superseded by a mounted Aimpoint 3000 on Weaver ring mounted to a section of Picatinny rail. Other legends as standard. CONDITION: Very good, with some scattered staining from age and oil, with darkening over time, with some commensurate handling marks, some silvered, most to carry handle. Stocks are very good with scattered abrasions from age. Mechanically fine, bore is good with defined rifling and some oxidation towards muzzle.
