Blue finish overall with checkered walnut 2-piece grips and straw finished levers, trigger and extractor. Military acceptance marked on right hand side of receiver with a “1913” chamber date. Toggle marked “DWM” in script and period nickel finished magazine with wood base is simply marked with a “2”. Manufactured without stock lug and has 4" barrel. Matching numbers throughout. PROVENANCE: The Friedrich-Wilhelm Dauphin Collection, Germany. CONDITION: Very fine overall, with strong military acceptance markings on toggle and upper receiver. Blue finish is very good with several minor areas of distress at muzzle, heel of butt and leading edges of frame. Most straw finish is remaining with balance being rather spotty. A very fine example of a nice early martial luger. Bore is fair. Mechanics are excellent.
