Lot consists of two fabulous condition stripped German MP-41 machine gun barrels, one lesser condition MP-41 barrel, and two MP-41 stocks which have only the buttplates on them. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish on the first barrel is near excellent original lustrous blued finish with the bore near excellent, shiny and bright. 2nd barrel is identical in condition to the first. Third barrel is fine original dull gray finish with a fine bore with some light pitting and turning dark in the grooves. First buttstock wood has quite a bit of figure in it, with a repaired chip at the toe. Buttplate is a gray patina with some small areas of corrosion. Second buttstock has a chip missing on the left side with moderate bruising and handling marks. The forward thinking machine gun enthusiast knows that any high condition original German pistol caliber machine gun barrel will likely someday be needed to repair a deactivated gun. JWK 2024-09-135.
