Circa April 1944. "3-44" dated Springfield barrel with protected blade front sight and post war aperture rear. Springfield internals including relieved op rod. Walnut military stocks with circle "P" firing proof and "SA / GAW" cartouche. CONDITION: Very good. Rifle retains the vast majority of its arsenal finishes with some light to moderate wear. Stock is fine as lightly cleaned and reoiled. Forend has some light impressions. Top wood appears to be a replacement. Very good, crisp bore. ME of 1. TE of 2. Fine mechanics.
