High quality SAR-48 machine gun marked on right side of receiver "1005-SA-48-MATCH" together with Springfield Armory (GENESEO, IL.) logo. This rifle includes ten 20-round magazines and a spare skeletonized shoulder stock, which would fit on a paratrooper model. This American version of the FN-FAL also features a fold down bipod and carrying handle. Marked on bottom of receiver, forward of magazine well "IMBEL, ITAJUBA / BRAZIL". This is where these were made and then imported into the United States for finishing and registration. Electronic NFA registry indicates “SPRINGFIELD ARMORY INC” as the manufacturer. CONDITION: Overall appearance and finish is near excellent original matte blue finish. Composite, handguard & buttstock show some light handling marks. Magazines all appear to be serviceable and vary in finish from dark blue to matte finish. Spare shoulder loop is near excellent. Bore is near excellent, shiny & bright. Bolt face is extremely fine. This is a very attractive and fine condition specimen. A top quality rifle caliber machine gun of the highest order of reliability and effectiveness.
