This rifle was originally manufactured in February 1942 for World War II and rebuilt post-war. Springfield barrel dated "6-52" with 5-prong T37 flash hider, protected blade front sight, and post war "DRC" marked aperture rear sight. Rifle is mounted with an M84 scope serial number "27503". Springfield internals still packed with dried storage grease. Classic walnut stock with DOD cartouche and a richly colored brown leather "MRT 8-58" cheek piece. Rifle also sports a steel buckle leather sling. Complete with original 2010 CMP certificate indicating this rifle shipped as an M1D. CONDITION: Very Good. Arsenal applied parkerized finish is fine with some handling and light high edge wear. Stock has expected dings and nicks throughout. Good, well defined bore. TE of 1. Fine mechanics. Optic is largely clear but would benefit from cleaning. A handsome rifle.
