Wolfgang Loerchner is a member of the Art Knife Invitational (AKI), a group of 25 of the most respected and talented knife makers in the world. It is a showcase which allows collectors and dealers the extremely rare opportunity to purchase knives from such a sought after makers. Wolfgang Loerchner stopped taking orders for knives more than 8 years ago. He is a living legend in the custom knife world and a member of the knifemakers hall of fame. This knife is an excellent example of Wolfgang's work. He does all the fluting, cutting, polishing, and finish work by hand. This Wolfgang Loerchner custom lockback dagger is an excellent example of Loerchner's work and features a 3 - 1/8" fluted Damascus blade. The bolsters are crafted of fluted 416 stainless steel and features scales that are crafted of black lip Tahitian pearl shell. The dagger operates using a lockback mechanism that functions properly. Housed in a black plush zipper case. The knife exhibits light wear from handling. CONDITION: Excellent. PROVENANCE: From the collection of Frank Brownell.
