An appealing C. Gray Taylor custom three bladed candle end lobster pattern slip joint. A master knife maker of more than 30 years, C. Gray Taylor is one of the most accomplished artisans and one of only 25 makers who participated in the biannual Art Knife Invitational. His work has been featured in magazines and knife publications all over the world. The main blade measures approximately 1 - 3/4" and is marked G. Taylor. All blades are crafted of mirror polished CPM-154 stainless steel. The frame is crafted of 14k gold and features presentation grade antique shell scales with 14k yellow, rose, and green gold inlays. The bolsters are also 14k gold. Engraving was executed by Tim George. The knife operates using a slip joint mechanism that functions properly. Stored in a leatherette case embossed "C GRAY TAYLOR" bordered with scrolls. Clean overall with only minor handling wear. CONDITION: Excellent. PROVENANCE: From the collection of Frank Brownell.
