It is estimated that less than 200 of these Model 1926 3rd model target revolvers were ever produced and were only made until 1941. There is no S in the serial number. It has all matching numbers, including the right grip panel. It is built on the square butt N-frame with five screws and the pinned barrel. Features pre-War high polish blue finish, round frame, Patridge front sight, pre-War adjustable rear sight, case color trigger and hammer with patent stamp, and matching pre-War S&W checkered walnut magna grips with silver medallions. CONDITION: Excellent. This revolver shows light muzzle wear, a light drag line, some minor high edge wear on frame and cylinder but still retains at least 95% factory blue. Case colors are excellent. Grips have a couple chips at butt. Action is smooth. Bore is bright. One of the hardest to find N-frame Smiths.
